I am now applying for AP renewal this week, Thats exactly my conclusions from the instructions. There are lot of experts in the forum, who can give you a right answer.

AP expires on August 10th 2010. Applied for AP extension since April 30th 2010. My AP extension hasn't arrived yet.
Question:
There is no way I can travel back to US before August 10th. As per what I heard, a newly issued AP cannot be used to reenter the U.S. if it was not valid as of the date of departure form the U.S. IS this correct?

Hi, this is my first time in the forum and I wish to seek advice on my situation.
I'm a green card holder (singapore citizen) who got married while being a US PR. I wish to apply for my wife (singapore citizen) a green card.
How long is the typical wait? while applying, is it true that my wife can't enter the US?
I kind of know the answers but would like to confirm with this forum. I know the situation can be pretty bleak.

Me and My friend developed a product, which is ready to launch. The product is very good and two fortune 500companies are willing to implement the product and back us up.
Now my problem is I am on H1B working fulltime with a company and also have an EAD. At this moment I cannot leave my fulltime job. My question is , if I can be a partner with my friend in the new company we are forming( My friend is a US citizen), also will I be able to get paid ( as the developement of the product drained my pocket, this was the hope and I think we are close to reap the hardwork) . Also my wife is also on EAD , can she be the partner? Will there be any issue if I can do that.

I'm working for Company A and this is my 7th year on H1-B.
I got three years extension last year which is good until Aug'2012 through companyA.(Based on approved I-140 from my previous employer).
My previous employer withdrew my I-140 petition but luckly after getting my 3 year extension with Company A.
Actually,I didn't know that my previous employer had withdrawn the I-140 petition.(Online case status was showing it as approved.) q
I got a very good offer from Company B but I didnt want to take chances with USCIS,so I've told them that I would join only after approval.
CompanyB applied for my H1-B peition asking for 3 year of extension based on I-140 approval.
I was told today that my CompanyB H1-B petition has been denied because of I-140 withdrawal from my previous employer.we didnt know about this because the online case status for I-140 was still showing as approved.
Question
1)Since I've a valid visa until 2012 with Company A. Can company B reappeal the decision asking for H1-B transfer only until 2012.
2)Does the denial has any impact on my current Company A's H1-B petition.
I know it's a tough one but I do appreciate your feedback/help on this issues.

It's really impossible to answer this without knowing the exact employment relationship that is planned and what the denial said in detail. Presumably your employer has a lawyer who can advise on whether an appeal might be successful. It is very likely that the denial was based on there not being the correct "employer-employee" relationship. CIS issued a new memo on this last month, and there are many threads in this forum on the topic. Can somebody mention how long it took to get AP approval at NSC ? I applied for AP at NSC on June 12th and I booked ticket for my wife for Aug 3rd, I was going to join her to India and booked my for October, I figured I would carry both the AP's and use it for coming back, now I am reading that AP has to be approved before she leaves or else it is no good. Can some body put their approval times at AP in recent times, so I can decide to change tickets accordingly ?

Hi All, My question is similar to this question as asked by MSS (Do I need an AC21 filing?). But it's diff in few ways. Here are the details of my case:
I worked with my GC "sponser" (i.e. Ex-employer i.e. A) for exactly a year; then next employer for 4 months; then next employer for 15 months and now I am with my current employer (i.e. B) since 2006.
All this means is that in between I have changed TWO employers and currently with a 3rd employer for more than 2 years. Also it means even though my labor was filed while with employer "A" but I left them even before my labor was approved. I started working with my next employer (other than B) before my labor with A was approved, but my GC process continued with A.
fyi, I am calling my ex-employer who is sponser of GC application as "A" and my current employer as "B". In our discussions, I am not giving any name to in-between employers.
My GC dates have become current with A (It's a 2004, EB2 case).
I have not used my EAD yet with any of the employers and so does my wife. i.e. I am on H1B with current employer. Also I never filed AC21 for any of the employers.
140 approved for more than 5 months (but less than 180 days) and I-485 pending for more than 11 months.
Now here are few questions I have:
1. Do I need to file AC21 or not? and why?
2. How filing/not filing of AC21 can impact my citizenship?

As per my knowledge you do not need a transit visa for Dubai and Abu Dhabi. I traveled to India recently through Abu Dhabi and did not need one.

I am interested as well. We can control our own destiny. What kind of issues can one get in RFE's for 485 that we wont be able to answer and the lawyer will? We need a copy of the Labor and 140. Don't we? We can file for AP & EAD now along with 485 or use the receipt number to file for AP & EAD later.

Hi,
I have received the EAD card yesterday with No finger prints available. But we have done our Finger printing before the EAD is approved. Approx 4 weeks before.
Is this normal? Or i should contact USCIS about this?
I know some applicants getting their EAD cards before finger prints were taken for them No finger prints available makes sense.
Any responses are appreciated

The idea of a H1 transfer is a misnomer. Every application is a new H1. However, if you already are in a valid H1 nonimmigrant category then your new application is not subjected to the cap.

I got my checks encashed to day and when I looked at the status of my I-485 application online it says
