Hi guys,
How to determine to which service center we need to send our application packet? Is it based on the future job location described in the labor certificate or the present physical location of the applicant?
Applying concurrent: 140/485
present physical location(my present address) state comes under : TSC
Future job location state comes under : NSC
Confused...
Thanks in advance

I am in the same boat. No 485 receipts for me or my wife. Got EAD and AP receipts only for myself. 485 filled at NSC on July 2nd. EAD and AP also filled at NSC but on Aug 15, 2007. I think NSC is still data entering July 2nd cases.

Hello there,
This is great news although I have a question. My wife is a endodontist (dentist, speciality in root canal surgery), (H1, EB2 India). She teaches at a university and practises in there. She has some publications as well (she does not qualify for EB1, as we dont want to go for a tenure track) Will she qualify under this physicians bill? She has 6 years experience in this filed.
Thank you

Search for "six-month rule", in "trave.state.gov"
If you tell me which country passport you hold, I could tell whether you are exempt from this 6-month-rule or not.
And yes, I mean official requirement for "entry".
How you think H1B documentation will act as a proof of "permanent residence" intention?
Thanks for your reply Morchu. I want to have some further clarification here:

not that kind of a physician..not on your life pal :p
another thread, another poll. guys all this is already being discussed in so many threads...yes including the esteemed MR WILLIAMS.
there is a thread opening up for every mailroom chap in USCIS
Please stop this. it's not helping anybody. use the multitude of threads that exist and keep this stuff together. otherwise any info you hope to gather is going to be too fragmented anyway...
well since the professions are moving into hybrid roles...maybe u can diversify ur specializations. :D :D :D

I see. I thought it was your lawyer that sent all your documents. So do you actually have a lawyer?
My emloyer hired a law firm to do green card and the human resources does the H1B's. The firm just sent (before Agust 17th) my I-140 and I-485. I have pendind EAD. I really want to remain on H1B though.
I am so frustrated and do now what to do.
How long does this 'nunc-pro-tunk' take if it comes to that? Also Can I go back to school?

you will have to pay the new fee, which is $305. Do efiling, it is easy and convenient.
Thanks for the info.
Is e-filing an option for folks like me who did not submit the I-131 form while I filed I-485?

USCIS reminds the public that all filings submitted on or after July 30, 2007 via the electronic filing system must be submitted with payment of the new fees.
Filings made Pursuant to Visa Bulletin No. 107: As previously announced, all forms I-765 and I-131 applications based on employment-based adjustment of status applications filed pursuant to Visa Bulletin No. 107 that are submitted on or before August 17, 2007 must be filed under the fee structure in place prior to July 30, 2007. On or after July 30, 2007, those applications may not be electronically filed and must be submitted to a Service Center via regular mail or courier service.
I tried reading the above but could not conclude whether I should or not. Was this announcement valid only until 08.17.07 or forever?
Thanks for the info.
