As per the blog from www.immigration-law.com, today is the last day USCIS will accept any Premium Processing requests for I-140s...
06/29/2007: Today Will be the Last Date for I-140 PPS Filing
USCIS has confirmed that the last day when they will accept the I-907 premium processing request for I-140 petition is today, June 29, 2007. Obviously "accept" means physically received or e-filed within today. Again, it is uncertain when the PPS was delivered to the postal station today but not picked up today. This is the risk involving delivery of documents to the Service Center via U.S. Express Mail. Such Express Mail remains in the postal station until it is picked up by the Service Center crew.
I mailed Matthew OH about that. He has corrected the part about e-filing PPS (that's not an option)
He says thats USCIS told him that they have to be *received* today. However, the customer service rep I called said its the *postmark* date. I guess it doesnt hurt to try mailing docs today. At worst, they return it.
vkxml- I dont think that the act of opting to go PP would cause an RFE. Every case goes through the same process. It's not as if there are different rules for processing regular vs premium.

She doesn't need a transit visa. My mother-in-law came last week through Munich. She had a 10-yr multiple entry US visa stamped and didn't need any German transit visa.

Folks, I just called and left VM's with all on the list. It is very simple and takes less than 15 minutes in total. If you are someone that is 'shy' or 'afraid', dont worry... you are speaking to an automated voice and leaving a message. Get over those nerves. Helps when you call again and speak with a real person. Remember, they are here to serve us and help us.
So, please take 15 minutes to call and leave these requests.
Cheers!

keep in perspective that --
H1B Visa is a travel document required for entry into US.
The green Card is for sponsorship towards FUTURE employment.
In all cases I dont see any problem with what you are planning to do ...
as soon as you adjust your status you can move back to US provided your company gives you the same/similar job as you were approved for by the green card.

IV is working on this and we shall be making this live shortly.
Pappu,
Thanks to the core group for working on this. If I may make another suggestion- have you thought about using Google checkout? For one there is no transaction fee till the end of 2007. This would be particularly beneficial if you're trying to collect smaller amounts like $20 every month. Second Google also gives a discount of $10 or $20 for the first payment depending on the amount. So it might turn out to be a lot better for IV when compared to PayPal.

Hi,
I have attended for H1b renual in toronto on the 2nd of May. The VO decided to do some additional review on the application. He took the Cleint letter, vendor letter and I129. Still havent heard anything from the consulate.
I am not sure if I should stay in Toronto or travel to India. I have taken only single entry visa to canada.
So, do you know if there is a canadian consulate in Hyderabad. If there is one, how much time do they take to issue a visitor visa.
Also, most importantly, how much time does it take for the 221g processing.
I would really appreciate if someone could share their knowledge.
Thanks

Why open an altogether new thread for this question? You could have posted in any of the receipt related threads!
Anyone who has receipts could have answered your question there to such a simple question
All,
I was wondering if the secondary applicant (Wife) will also be receiving a separate receipt numbers for her I-485, I-765 and I-131? She is currently on H4 and my lawyers told me that they received receipts only for me!!
Can some one please clarify this doubt?
I wanted to call USCIS to check the status of my wife's application. Before I call them I want to be sure enough that the dependents will also get receipt numbers.
Thanks
Raj

Many thanks for IV to get this fixed for students. I am student member of IV since 2007.
I have posted this message in other forums and urged the student community to join IV.
IV rocks!
Balan
Until now, the student community and the OPT community felt that IVs goals were not in sync with them.
OPT is now being considered to be extended for 29 months. This is a big boost for students who want to pursue their American dream.
So, if you are a student or an OPT candidate, you are definitely benefitted by this move.
This is a call for all students/OPT to unite under IV umbrella. Please sign on this thread and pledge your support to IV. Spread the message among your community. Urge everyone to join IV. Start getting active on IV. Most of you are young talented folks from all over the world, and your talent and freshness will keep IV going strong.
So join IV now and join your State chapters. Spread the message among your friends.

Just a little update, Called up my Senator's office this morning..Started talking about country Cap issue, the guy knew everything about it, he took notes & promised he will pass it on to the Senator. Here's what I suggested him
1) Lift the Country Cap for Temporary period of time, may be just for 2 years.
2) Limit the Maximum waiting time, say if one applicant is waiting for 5 years than country cap should be exempted and he should be given a preference over a person whos PD is just 1 year old.
He specifically told me 'your second point is very good, I'll certainly share these with the Senator'...
I urge you guys to contact your senators & Congressmen/Congresswomen
We have a group which is focusing on this issue, if you want to join us here's the link

I thought this would be the most appropriate place to post.
I am on my 3rd year of H1-B (non-technical field), just moved to a new company and was going to start my process toward getting a gc in the next month or so. Now, with all of this, I am very confused.
Do you folks think that it is most appropriate to sit tight and wait to see what happens? or to just go for it now?
I'd appreciate your input, as I have to make a decision soon.
