Most american cars are boring. Unlink this one, my dream car:

Most main stream Japanese cars are even more boring. Camry, Corolla, Civic, etc anyone? If they are not boring, then they are ugly. *cough* Juke *cough*.

Don't get me started on what Honda calls a redesign on the 2012 Civic.......

You're not going to get wow styling on some family sedan. You get wow styling on vehicles like Corvette, Camaro, Mustang, luxury cars, etc. Out of the mid-size family sedans, the 2013 Malibu is the best looking, IMHO.

Probably cause they want to shakedown all the non-unlimited messenger customers with a new tiered messaging structure.

Perhaps, this new feature isn't a bad deal with A-List, etc.

Now if I had only more than 1.5 bars and an iPhone that didn't go toaster hot (not cylon) :D when I try to use it on the first floor of my home.

So when do you think the LTE Microcell(s) will arrive? [off topic]

It would be for me cause I have my google voice number on my a list.

I then have the GV app.

With the GV app I get unltd outbound and inbound calling to any number landline or mobile.

I no longer use my AT&T number but my GV number.

No surprises here, the majority of people are waiting for the next iPhone.

Do you think that the majority of the people know that the next iPhone is coming soon? Do you think they are up to date on Apple's release cycle?

I did a review of it for the Florida Times-Union newspaper. Review is here (http://jacksonville.com/interact/blog/rand_miranda/2009-10-10/miranda_writes_iphone_app_review_tweetie_2) and here is a Posterous (http://randgm.posterous.com/tweetie-2-screenshots-1) posting of 26 screenshots of Tweetie 2.

I miss 4.2.1, it was really stable for me :(

I'm on 4.2.1, but because I have an iPhone 3, I guess I'm at the end of getting updates from Apple. Is this true, just wondering.

    Thanks.

This is my first post. It takes a lot for me to stop being a lurker, but the idea that any user can resize a textarea on a site I design, dynamically redrawing the page, is among the dumbest ideas I've ever heard. This will break valid page layouts in new and unheard of ways. Designers make form elements a size and shape for a reason.

I look forward to finding a way using JavaScript to disable that feature the day that browser is released.

Why do you need to disable something you don't want to use? Can't you just not use it?

Are you afraid you might accidentally change your mind someday and need to prevent yourself from doing this in the future?

Also, many BBS's that I use offer me the chance to change the text-reply field size in my personal preferences. The window can be any size and the page looks just fine. Pretty much ANY text entry field has to be built into a page in such a way that changing the size just pushes things below it lower, just in case a browser draws it larger than planned. I can't think of any sites that don't work that way. This box I'm using on Macrumors right now follows that rule. If I were to drag it large nothing would "break." The stuff below it would just move down.

Can you give any examples of a page that fails this test? I can't think of any offhand.

I kept working to be the meanest member but no one ever voted for me for that. :( ;)
We're afraid to. We don't want to anger you, for you are universally considered to be the meanest member. I am thankful that I live 1000 miles away. That thing you did with the puppies and the fireworks "just to see what would happen" still haunts me.

Has anyone had a close look at the main picture on Apple's preview page? The sender of the email in the top pane is 'Katie Lorenzo' but in the preview pane her name is 'Amy Lorenzo'. Also, the delivery time is out by almost an hour.

    Comments?

    He's right! :)

if he is 18 you can't do **** about it. You can force him to pay rent thou ^_^
and if the girl isn't 18 yet, then it is rape Erm.. no. Over here, the consenting age is 16, which is what it is most of europe, and, iirc, the US. Yes, that's right. You have to be 16 to have sex, but 18 to watch other people have sex

What kind of BMW do you recommend for a young bachelor business guy in a popular downtown location? I was thinking about the 3 series.

335d because the diesel is awesome. :)

Wow, that is one nasty Danish mockup. I hope it won't look like that.

Here's actually a nice touchscreen iPhone mockup:

I've been in many debates with people about the iPhone and I've always been on the side that Apple just shouldn't do one. Everyone always says that it would sell like hot-cakes because it would be an Apple phone, but my stance has always been that it would have to run on a particular carrier.

But lately I've been thinking about this and what if Apple bucked the system a little. They made a phone which connected directly to your computer and you downloaded the correct carrier setting to. So if you used Verizon, all you had to do is in setup select Verizon or Sprint....

I feel that one of the big problems with mobile phones is the computer connectivity has always been an afterthought, mainly because they're not computer companies. But what if Apple created a new iApp which managed the phone (ran on both Windows and OS X), which made the connectivity easy. This is basically what happened with the iPod.

Would the carriers care that a generic iPhone ran on their network, maybe the stupid ones, but in the long they're lives would be easier, because they wouldn't have to market the phones, just their service (which is where they really make their money).

I also like the idea of using the click wheel to make a retro style digital-rotary phone. However, I doubt Apple would just display the numbers on the screen and not on the unit. So when in dial mode, you would spin the click wheel and the numbers, displayed on the display in a circle, would highlight the number that you were on and then click the center button on the click wheel to select. If you wanted to get really old school, you could have the rotary sounds come through the headphones. Or course you would still be able to dial by your address book or search through a downloaded version of the white or yellow pages (which would naturally sync into your phone whenever you charge it at home, via blue tooth or direct connection to your computer).

    Bertrand Serlet (Apple)
Apple today announced (http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2011/03/23serlet.html) that Bertrand Serlet, senior vice president of Mac Software Engineering, will be departing the company in order to "focus less on products and more on science", although his specific destination remains unknown. Serlet joined Steve Jobs at NeXT in 1989, and transitioned to Apple in 1997 when NeXT was acquired and Jobs brought back to lead Apple.

Craig Federighi demoing Mac OS X Lion (Reuters)
Serlet will be replaced by Craig Federighi, currently Apple's vice president of Mac Software Engineering and who has led Mac OS X engineering for the past two years. Federighi is another former NeXT and Apple employee who spent ten years at Ariba before returning to Apple in 2009. Serlet notes that the transition should be seamless given Federighi's role in leading the current Mac OS X team.Serlet has occasionally appeared at Apple keynote and media events over the years to introduce Mac OS X-related features, and thus well known to longtime Apple followers. Federighi made his first public presentation since his return to Apple at last October's "Back to the Mac" event (http://www.macrumors.com/2010/10/20/live-coverage-of-apples-back-to-the-mac-media-event/), taking the stage to show off some of the features of Apple's forthcoming Mac OS X Lion.

Apple should really diversify their suppliers anyway, which is what they look like they are doing. Cut Samsung supply by 50%, and threaten all of it if they don't get their act together. Surely Samsung doesn't think that that they can bring in this kind of revenue on their own merit. Outside of LCD televisions, Samsung has an image problem, and even that has only improved in the last few years.

Only 4% of Samsung Revenue are believed to be from Apple.
While Samsung supplies at least half of Apple's iPad displays and a big portion of iPhone.

Why does everyone think Samsung needs Apple more? It looks the other way to me. Regardless, it's business, personal issues don't get in the way of big contracts. They'll still work with each other blah blah. Apple's just trying to get a better contract which will be part of the "out-of-court" settlement.

Lets say his girlfriends parents say it's ok for them to sleep in the same room. Also, lets say that you also know that your son is having sex. Lets also say that your son has been going out with this girl for 3 months. So would you let him or not?

    No.
